introducing raw

some things to expect

Our products are meal toppers or treats. They can be used to bring excitement and variety to meals. We believe pets deserve to eat things they enjoy.

Most dogs don’t take too much convincing to try raw food. If your dog is having reservations, you could use the new dog food as a treat. Hype it up! Before long, your dog will see this new food as a treat.

Introducing a new type of food can cause digestive discomfort. This is true with any type of food. This just means that the food is new and it may take time for the gastrointestinal tract to adjust; it does not mean that the food is bad. Sometimes even healthy dogs take several days to adjust to new food. Your dog or cat may need more bathroom breaks. Diarrhea may occur.

Your pet may show signs of detoxing. This can produce symptoms similar to those seen in allergic reactions. Their eyes and nose may show some discharge. They may shed excessively. You may notice some mucus in their stool. These are signs of detoxing. This may last for several weeks.

You may notice that your pet is drinking less water. Raw food has significantly more moisture than kibble. You may also notice less odorous breath and less stool. Pets’ digestive systems are actually able to absorb and use more raw food than kibble, which means less stool.

After your pet has gotten used to eating real food, expect a happier, more energetic, and more satiated animal.

We recommend trying one recipe at a time. This will allow your pet to get used to one recipe before trying another one.
